Explicit GUP and subnet mapping

In the Explicit GUP documentation I see:

Note: You can calculate the value of the Client Subnet Network Address and the GUP Subnet Network Address by using one of the subnet calculators readily available on the Internet. This address is sometimes also referred to as the network prefix or network ID.

Well, the network IDs are not "unique", they depend on the subnet mask...

If I have two subnets and I want to map them to two different GUPs:

 - 192.168.1.0 / 25

 - 192.168.1.127 / 25

how could I use them in the explicit configuration?

If I put the first one (192.168.1.0) how could I tell SEP to use the /25 and not, for example, the /24 subnet mask?

I've been instructed, in all my network life, to use both IP (i.e. subnet ID) AND subnet mask in order to identify a subnet... now SEP tells me that I have to use only one of these parameters... I'm a little bit confused.
