SID:24024 Fake App Attack ..Both IE&Firefox crashed again and again

Hi All,

Yesterday got notifications from symantec client like "SID:24024 Fake App Attack.Misleading Application file Download 3 detected " during when i was worked from home through VPN using USB Modem.At the same time internet was too slow.

As i checked with windows Application log it shows"[SID: 24024] Fake App Attack: Misleading Application File Download 3 attack blocked. Traffic has been blocked for this application: \DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME3\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\FORTINET\FORTICLIENT\FORTIPROXY.EXE".I am using fortinet as VPN Client

Is this really virus attack or anything else.

Kindly please confirm.
