Hi Guys,
A while ago we switched our SEPM server. Recently we have noticed a large number of SEP clients in our network are still trying to communicate with the old server. I know we need to upload the sylink.xml file (either manully or sylinkdrop.exe) on each of the effected client but given the volume of clients we don't want to do this manually. We are going to use our enterprise deployment tool to puch the xml and the executable to the effected clients. The issue I am having is that the deployment tool needs to figure out which machines to deploy on. The tool need to be able to look at a registry key or config file and determine which server SEP is trying to communicate with.
What I need help in is determining where to look on the client machine (registry key, config file) to determine the SEPM server? I know I can go to the symantec client and click on help and troubleshoot, but I need a readable file that can be accessed by the deployment tool to determine this value.
Thanks in advance.
