Error message about smc crash

When I checked the status of my GUPs this afternoon, I noticed one was showing as "offline" When I went to the GUP I recevied a message on screen about smc crashing. I was able to restart and it seemed to be ok but is there a way I can troubleshoot this further?

SEPM: 12.1.4
Client: 12.1.3
