SMC keeps on stopping

Hi, we are running SEP12 RU4 in our environment. We have over 100 GUP servers. On some of the GUP servers, the SMC.exe service keeps on stopping and I have to start them manually. After a few minutes, the service stops again. I have ran the Cleanwipe on one of the GUP servers and re-installed the agent. The problem still exists. Please assist with a solution.
