Dear Community
I am planning on deploying SEPM in a multi-site configuration to get a HA/DR setup in the event my main datacenter is unavailable. To ensure all data and logs are available in both sites, I will replicate this between the sites. My SEP clients will also be configured with two SEPM servers (using Management Server List).
I am planning two sites (Site A and Site B), each with its dedicated SQL server and two SEPMs. To ensure that my remote clients can be managed, I am planning on putting one SEPM in each site in DMZ and one internally.
I have not fully understood how to deploy such a setup.
I understand I will have to install the first SEPM, which will be my first site (local site) (Site A). After which I will run 'Management Server Configuration Wizard' from that same server to start the second site deployment.
At the start of this wizard, it says:
"Installs a management server and database for replication. This option requires more disk space than a typical installation"
Will this increase the disk space requirement on the local site (Site A) or remote site (Site B) or both?
Will this install an additional SEPM and database in Site A, or will this install everything remotely to Site B (SEPM and DB)?
Will there be two separate DBs in each site, or will there be one DB in each site?
Appreciate some help here.
Regards,
Thomas
