Exclusions for Windows Servers

Is Symantec Endpoint intelligent enough to know that it is being installed on a Windows Server, and excludes certain directories and files automatically?

Microsoft recommends that these be excluded:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822158

What about Active Directory and Exchange?  Are there automatic exclusions for those, or do we have to create all the exclusions manually?
