SAVFL:not supported kernel but Autoprotect seems running

Hello everybody,

I'm writing because i'm a little confused.

I tried to install SAVFL on my REHEL 6.4 64bit , kernel 2.6.32-358.el6.x86_64: i have seen on this page  that my kernel is not supported so I was prepared to compile the Autoprotect kernel Module (by this guide).

I have successfully installed rpm files in this way:

rpm -ivh sav-1.0.14-13.i386.rpm savap-x64-1.0.14-13.x86_64.rpm savjlu-1.0.14-13.i386.rpm

after that, i was starting to build the autoprotect, but i said "just in case: let me try if AP is running"

Surprise: IT WAS!

so to be sure i have tried all these command:

/opt/Symantec/symantec_antivirus/ sav info -a

enabled

/etc/init.d/autoprotect restart

Stopping AP: symap: module in use (symap count=24)
Starting AP: symev already loaded.
symap already loaded.
Setting major=248 from /proc/symap

/etc/init.d/rtvscand restart

Stopping rtvscand: ... OK

Starting rtvscand: ... OK

/opt/Symantec/symantec_antivirus/ sav info -a

enabled

The question is: Am i really lucky and fortunately everything works properly or is it just a fake-positive output?

Is auto protect really running properly? how to check it?

If it's not: i have to install savap-x64-1.0.14-13.x86_64.rpm or savap-x64-legacy-1.0.14-13.x86_64.rpm?

Hope you can help me.

Thanks a lot,

Skas.
