I am using a SEP trial v12.1.4112.4156 on Windows 8.1 and can not figure out what firewall rules to allow my Hyper-V VMs to use the network. I have installed SEP - NTP since this is not a dedicated hyper-v server but rather my delopment/everyday PC so I need/want NTP protection. The key NTP setting is the "Unmatched IP Traffic Settings". I have it set to "Allow only application traffic" and to "Prompt before allowing application traffic". This works great and is what I prefer but it blocks Hyper-V traffic. If I set "Unmatched IP Traffic Settings" to "Allow IP traffic" Hyper-V works but obviously I no longer have application traffic control. Is it possible to use NTP "Unmatched IP Traffic Settings" set to "Allow only application traffic" and to "Prompt before allowing application traffic". with new Firewall rules to enable Hyper-V traffic? I have searched the forums and help but have not found a solution. Can anyone please help? thank you, vince
