Hello all , I am trying to revive an old SEPM solution that has been dead for quite some time now and have few queries regarding this . I would appreciate if I can have some response on the below mentioned things regarding powering the solution back on
1. Current version of SEPM is RTM (12.1.671.4971)
2. the number of agents are total 1100 running the same version as SEPM 1000 agents are offline due to unknown reasons and only 100 are online
Now due to some reasons I cannot upgrade the existing SEPM to the latest version i.e SEPM 12.1.5. I have new hardware so I am thinking to do the Disaster recovery and perform HA ( two servers running with a SQL instance on a new server )
Now while I do the Disaster Recovery the hostname and IP address of SEPM would be diffrent than the orignal . But I want to know that would the 1000 agents that are already offline can they report to the new SEPM and can I make them alive again ?
In the second scenerio that I have in my mind:-
Replace the existing envoirement as it is and do the following thing:
1. Install two new SEPM's from scratch with a new Database and configure them in Failover
2. install the new agents on which SEP is not already running
3. How can I revive or get back those 1000 agents that are already offline in the old SEPM ? by deploying a new communication package or running SylinkReplacer to get back/move these offline agents to new SEPM ?
What you think is more feasible/relalistic to do that involves no or minimal manual intervention ?
Regards,
