Hi,
We are running SEPM 12.1.2 in our company and we want to mitigate clients (most of them using 12.1.2 version) to new SEPM 12.1.5 server. As a security policy, we are using 3rd party distribution tool and making installations via MSI packages.
On endpoint side, tamper protection is on and there exists uninstallation password. However, In installation setting we select "Automatically uninstall existing security software" . We do not want to tamper off for all clients and uncheck uninstall password.
1. Is it sufficient to stop symantec endpoint services in msi command line?
2. Due to the version differences of clients, the installdir varies and do we have to check every client version or is there a generic way to do it?
3. Is it a better way to do it?
Thanks in advance.
