Hello,
We're facing a problem with the deployment of SEP to the clients. The installation of SEP requires a reboot. After rebooting the client can't connect to any mapped network drive. A ping to the network drive works. Hostnames can also be resolved. Intranet and internet is also available. Since the user profiles are stored on a network location, it can't be loaded.
If the client is rebooted for a second time, all network drives are mapped and everything works. However, we don't want the client to need a second reboot before working properly.
The machines are thin clients which initiate a RDP session to a virtual machine. The client is installed on the VM.
Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.5.
Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit
Running VMware.
See the word document in the attachments for different installation scenarios. These are differently configured featuresets. The installation is done by saving the installation package to the client and running setup from there. Basic and full installation have been tested.
Disabling policies didn't make a difference.
Thanks in advance,
Vince Hubbard
