In our mixed SEP 11/ 12 environment, where SEPM servers are running under 12.1.5 but most of clients are still running under 11.5/6/7 we have the following configuration in terms of Live Update Policy, especially for it’s GUP part.
We have 2 groups PCs and Servers. PCs and servers are located in different subnets.
These two groups have different Live Update Policies assigned. These policies aren’t inherited nor copied each from other. ( Completely different S/N)
Both policies are pointing to the same GUP server, defined as Single GUP, which is located in the Servers group and which belongs to servers’ subnet.
However for some reason two policies have different values defined for GUP.
These values are:
Maximum Disk Cache
Maximum bandwidth
Please see attached screenshots.
My question are:
- Would clients from PCs group receive updates via this GUP it all (From what I read here, as well from my practical experience, I assume that they would) But please confirm?
- Which of both policies wins in this case?
P.S In fact, our environment is much more complex , however the simplified sample above clearly demonstrates the issue
