The release notes for RU5 has a large number of fixes, we have tried deploying it to a few test machines, specifically running Windows 7 32-bit SP1, and had problems with crashes (BSOD). We have an open case with support for them. I have installed RU5 to my Windows 8.1 64-bit workstation with no problems and have deployed to several Windows Server 2012/R2 machines without issue. Out SEPM is still 12.1.4.1a, running on Windows Server 2008 R2 and all our clients are 12.1.3. So the question is, despite the large number of fixes in RU5, is it worth upgrading? I see there is still a blue screen issue on Windows Server 2008 R2 FIle Servers and just read about the table lost in the embedded database when upgrading SEPM from RU4 to RU5. The only solution is a disaster recovery type roll back to RU4. There also still seems to be a POODLE vulnerability in RU5. We have about 3000 clients and just 1 SEPM server, so I need stability immediately after the upgrade and not a bunch of new problems. We dont have a test enviroment for SEPM either. Looking for Feedback. Thanks!
