We use a device blocking rule (as described in http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH104970) to disable the wireless card when an ethernet connection is detected.
Back when 802.11N came out, SEP had issues where it felt that when the wireless achieved speeds around 130 Mb it must be ethernet for some reason. So then the location awareness would kick in and disable the wireless card. Then enter a loop of disabling/ enabling the card. This was eventually fixed in a subsequent release of SEP.
I was wondering if anyone is using a similar policy, and have you tested with 802.11AC connections. I dont have AC so I cant test, and my boss is asking me if this is going to be a problem again. They are looking into making AC the standard wireless card on our leased computers.
thanks
