I have found other posts presenting this same dilemma, but I have yet to find a viable solution. We deployed the Symantec Virtual Appliance successfully using the .xml script and even configured all the settings required. However, during the java install, our settings were ignored except the machine name. Everything else prompted me, like passwords, datastore, etc.. IP Address though, was completely ignored. It resorted to DHCP and I need to know how to change the running SVA from DHCP to a static IP address going forward. If it's as simple as console in and change the text file, I can certainly do that, if someone can point me to the location of that file. We have also tried re-running the script to install the SVA with the settings that we tried before as was recommended on another post, but it just says the SVA is already installed and exits out, so that's not an option either.
Has anyone come across this or know how to change the SVA IP address?
